A Reading, Pennsylvania pregnancy story: Bianca and Mo

Pregnancy is a journey of transformation—one filled with excitement, anticipation, and a whirlwind of emotions. For Bianca and Mo, this journey began with a moment of disbelief and joy, and as the months passed, it blossomed into a deeper appreciation for the beauty of parenthood.

Their Reading, Pennsylvania pregnancy story is one of dreams coming true, a growing bond, and the desire to capture these unforgettable moments through maternity portraits. Follow along as Bianca shares the highs and lows of her pregnancy and the joy of preparing for the arrival of their baby girl.

"From the moment I saw the two lines appear on my test, so many different emotions ran through my head. I felt happy, excited, nervous, and anxious all at once. But I knew for a long time that being a mom was a dream of mine. It was such a surreal feeling to know that dream was coming true, and doing it with my husband, my best friend, made it that much better," Bianca recalls when asked about how she felt when she first found out she was pregnant.

Watching her baby bump grow has been one of Bianca’s favorite parts of her pregnancy. “I think pregnancy is the most amazing thing anyone can experience. The emotional, mental, and physical strength of women is incredible and empowering. Many people say it’s important to have your village with you throughout this journey, and I am so grateful to have the best husband, family, and friends by my side. That has made my pregnancy extra special.”

I had the pleasure of photographing Bianca and Mo’s maternity portraits, and Bianca had always known she wanted to capture this moment. “Capturing significant moments has always been important to me,” she shared. “When looking for a maternity photographer, I wanted someone who matched the style I was looking for and who could provide everything—from the shoot itself to including my husband and capturing our newborn portraits after she arrives. It was also important to me to find someone I felt comfortable with and who would make me feel beautiful. Ashlie provided all of that.”

Bianca went on to say, “When it comes to pregnancy, I think many women struggle with feeling and looking their best, but doing this photoshoot made me feel beautiful and comfortable in capturing my changing body as it grows our baby girl. I think every woman should feel this way at some point in their pregnancy—it was such an incredible experience.”

One of Bianca’s favorite things to reflect on during the photoshoot was the focus on her relationship with Mo and the life they’ve built together. “The photoshoot was a reminder of the excitement and joy that comes with bringing our daughter into the world. Pregnancy isn’t always the most enjoyable or easy journey—it can be challenging. But this photoshoot helped me reflect on the good parts, rather than the tough ones.”

The thing Bianca said she will cherish most about her maternity portraits is this: “I will always think about the first time I got to experience pregnancy. Though it hasn’t always been easy, it’s truly such a beautiful thing to experience, and I will always be reminded of the beautiful baby girl who made me a mom.”

As her pregnancy nears its end, Bianca says she’s most excited for that first snuggle with her baby girl in her arms and starting this new chapter with Mo and the little family they’ve created. “I know life is about to change forever, in the best way possible!” she said with a smile.
