Let me guess—you’ve started Googling maternity photoshoot ideas, scrolling Pinterest at midnight, and now you’re wondering what the heck do I wear?! Or maybe you’ve found the dress and you’re asking yourself…Can I bring my own dress to my maternity session?

Short answer? YES! But let’s dive into that (and a few other common questions) so you feel totally ready for your session.

Can I bring my own dress to my Reading, PA maternity photoshoot?

Absolutely. While I offer a curated client closet full of gorgeous maternity gowns in all shapes and sizes—many of which photograph beautifully with my lighting and studio setup—I’m always open to personal pieces too.

Some mamas find something special that just speaks to them. Whether it’s a dress you’ve been eyeing for months or a sentimental piece passed down through family, I’m here for it. Just send me a quick snapshot before your session so I can plan lighting, poses, and backdrops that will complement it best!

(And don’t worry—there’s zero pressure to buy something new. You’ll still have access to my client closet even if you bring your own piece!)

Do I need to bring anything else?

Nope! I’ve got you covered—literally. From dresses and fabrics to professional hair and makeup (yes, it's included!) and studio styling, I want this to feel easy and luxurious.

You can bring personal touches if you'd like—jewelry, an ultrasound photo, or even your partner’s button-down shirt for a soft, intimate look. But you’re not expected to show up with anything but your beautiful self.

Can my partner or kids be a part of my photoshoot?

Yes, yes, and yes. Some of my favorite moments come from capturing the connection between the whole family. Your partner, your kiddos, even the family pup (with a little planning)—they're all welcome. These sessions are about you and this chapter in your story, and sometimes that includes the people who are part of the journey with you.

I’m super awkward in front of the camera. Will you tell me what to do?

Oh girl, you are not alone. I hear this from almost every mama I work with. And here’s the good news: You don’t have to know how to pose, where to look, or what to do with your hands. I’ll guide you the whole way through, with plenty of encouragement (and probably a few jokes).

We’ll create space for the soft, intimate moments and the fun, lighthearted ones—because both are part of the beauty of this season.
